Domain Fellows
Own the research buildout of a DIMEFILDC domain: source survey, data taxonomy, and the historical case coding that reveals how that instrument of power has been used.
Data Science & AI Fellows
Build and maintain the shared data ontology, schema, and analytics/AI tooling that all nine domains write into and that CAGS’s modeling and simulation tools draw from.
Research Ops Fellows
Own the program’s information architecture, coding standards, data governance, and cohort operations.

Who should apply?

Exceptional graduate and PhD students, academics, and practitioners - selected on merit, regardless of career stage. Bring domain expertise, research and writing skill, and the ability to work independently against deadlines. All work is unclassified and open-source; no security clearance is required.

Format: Non-resident, remote-first
Time: ~10–15 hours per month
Term: October 2026 – September 2027 (aligned to the federal fiscal year), renewable
Compensation: Unpaid fellowship
